Who we are
The West Carroll Parish Tourism Commission is dedicated to sharing the story, beauty, and opportunities of our community. Rooted in strong agricultural traditions and surrounded by scenic farmland and bayou landscapes, West Carroll Parish offers visitors an authentic experience of Northeast Louisiana. From historic and cultural treasures like Poverty Point World Heritage Site to the natural beauty of the Bayou Macon Wildlife Management Area, our parish is full of places that reflect both our history and our way of life.
Life here is built around community. On any given evening you might find families gathered at our Dixie Youth Little League ball fields, neighbors visiting on front porches, or travelers flying in and out of Kelly Dumas Airport, a gateway that connects our rural parish to the region beyond. Throughout the year, local festivals, outdoor recreation, and community events bring residents and visitors together to celebrate the traditions that make West Carroll special.
Our mission is to promote local destinations, support community events, and welcome travelers who want to explore the places and people that define our parish. The Tourism Commission works alongside local businesses, community leaders, and organizations to highlight everything that makes West Carroll Parish a wonderful place to visit—and an even better place to call home.
